7,107 islands. That is how I remembered my country, The Philippines. We had a quick trip to one of the many islands of the Philippines, my mother’s home town, Camotes. Comprised of 3 small islands between Cebu and Leyte.
Camotes island is just one of the islands of the Philippines you wouldn’t want to miss. I’ve been there several times already but still stunned by its enchanting views which would make me want me to go back again and again. To reach there, it will take a 3 hour trip by Motorized boats and light ferries from Cebu City. Camotes is a lush island with white sand beaches which you will surely enjoy especially during summer. You can tour around the island by renting multicabs and motorcycles, which is among the common mode of transportation on the island. There are a lot of affordable accomodations with rooms that have a stunning view of the beach. I just love the simplicity of the place and the picturisque landscape and beaches. To spend time away from the city to relax would be one of the many excuses in coming to Camotes. Hoping you will have your own excuse to visit this place and fall in love to this enchanting place.
